As a Generator Repair Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our distributed power plant solutions. You will work closely with our team to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment, while also contributing to our ongoing growth and success.

Location: Must be located in the Midwest, or greater Chicago Area. 

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise: Progress through our Technician Tier system by increasing your knowledge and skills, including hands-on experience with INNIO gas engines, TPI RNG Solutions, and MAN gas engines.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing equipment issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Remote Support: Utilize advanced technologies to diagnose and resolve equipment issues remotely, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including engine oil changes, part replacements, and data collection, to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Collaboration: Work closely with our team of engineers and technicians to identify and implement improvements, optimize processes, and stay updated on industry trends.

Safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications:

Work Authorization: Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States.

Technical Background: Strong understanding of basic engine fundamentals, electrical systems, and electro-mechanical systems. Gas engine mechanical and/or electrical knowledge / experience. Gas/Diesel engine powered generator training or equivalent technical education.

IT Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data analysis, reporting, and remote troubleshooting.

Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and engineers.

Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
