Clarke Energy and GE will be exhibiting at Institute Healthcare Engineering Estate Management’s (IHEEM) at Manchester Central Convention Centre, 20th – 21st October 2015.
With an increased pressure on the NHS to reduce costs and lower emissions, there has never been a better time to look into the possibility of installing a combined heat and power system (CHP). Join us to find out how a well designed and installed system can enable hospitals to spend more on treatment and less on power
NHS – 50MW Installed Capacity
Following the sale of a 1.4MW GE Jenbacher gas engine to St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, we are proud to confirm that we have reached 50 MW installed capacity within the NHS.
St Bartholomew’s combined cooling and heating system (CCHP) is the first of its kind under a strategic collaboration between SDCL, Clarke Energy, GE and the NHS Confederation. Delivered by Skanska, the project is part of SDCL’s “Powering Health” collaboration to deliver a low-carbon, combined cooling, heating and power solution as part of the first fully financed PFI deal within the NHS.
Further installations Include:
- Guy’s and St Thomas’, London
- Great Ormond Street
- Freeman Hospital
- Neville Hall Hospital
The built environment in healthcare is constantly evolving. IHEEM provides a networking platform which enables decision makers, service providers and manufacturers to come together to strengthen the NHS and patient experience.
