Giving back to our local communities and supporting great causes is something that is dear to our hearts at Clarke Energy. We are proud to say that our employees are some of the most generous, kind and supportive people that we have come across. From taking the initiative to run their own fundraising events as well as supporting Companywide charity events we feel we are able to give something back.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Clarke Energy UK held an annual coffee morning to help raise money for Macmillan. Employees from around the business got their bake on and brought in delicious homemade for everyone to buy. There were also some activities throughout the day where employees could take part to try and win.
Copper For Cash
In 2006, the Cylinder Head department started to collect small copper sealing rings from the spark plug tubes of type 3- & 4-cylinder heads. The team’s intention was to collect enough to weigh in for scrap and give the money to Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice. After 14 years of collecting, in December 2019, the rings were weighed in and £1,000 was donated to the hospice.
Local Nursery Appeal
Clarke Energy took part in in a local nursery’s campaign to help the most vulnerable families in the local area. The nursery were looking to help over 50 families that may not be able to provide food or presents to their family at Christmas time.
Clarke Energy Romania visit to the Blood Transfusion Centre
In April 2023, some of the team from Clarke Energy Romania once again visited the Blood Transfusion Centre at the Military Hospital in order to make blood donations. Our team spirit, goodwill and good mood with which we made this noble gesture will definitely be transmitted through our blood. We are hoping these donations can help save lives and ease the suffering of those who need it, whilst increasing their hope and joy of living. Some of our colleagues faced their fears to deliver this act of kindness and become part of the team that continues to grow from one donation to another.
Clarke Energy Nigeria Careers Fair for International Women’s Day March 2023
On International Women’s Day 2023, Clarke Energy Nigeria hosted a careers fair for young women in Nigeria interested in careers in the engineering and energy sector. Despite facing challenges of a traditionally male-dominated industry, Clarke Energy are committed to playing our part to Embrace Equity in order to achieve a better gender balance in our workforce. We believe change needs to happen within early educational years so that women see engineering as a career choice for the future. With this in mind, the careers fair targeted young female graduates, final year students and NYSC corps members with an interest in the energy sector.
Clarke Energy Romania – International Women’s Day – March 2023
On the 8th March, Clarke Energy Romania celebrated International Women’s Day with all employees. We served food, dessert and drinks, listened to music and danced. All female employees received huge bouquets of flowers from the company.
Clarke Energy UK Easter Donation 2023
We wanted to spread some joy across the local community by making a child’s Easter extra special during these hard times that many families are going through. We have made a donation of 50 Easter Eggs to Knowsley Foodbank to support their appeal this Easter. We hope that this can make a difference to some families within our local community. Thank you to all our employees who kindly donated to the appeal.
Clarke Energy UK – Supporting Halewood Academy – International Women in Engineering Day June 2023
In June 2023, Clarke Energy UK’s HR department had a great week partnering with Halewood Academy visiting to help students prepare for life after school with mock interview practice, followed by a great event held at our Head Office to share the great opportunities for women in Engineering. A number of our female employees spoke about their successful careers to provide an insight into the different roles within the business. It was great to see the students interacting throughout the day and gaining an understanding to the engineering world.
Clarke Energy Australia – International Women’s Day 2022
To coincide with International Women’s day, we shone a light on Leanne Morris and the Clarke Energy team’s support of the Newman Women’s Shelter in Western Australia, demonstrating our corporate values of Global Reach, with Local Focus in action in the local community.
