Clarke Energy is now a Member of the CPD Certification Service and a number of courses we deliver with respect to gas engines have been officially certified as genuine Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
There is an increasing expectation for professionals to undertake CPD as part of their membership of trade bodies. The CPD Certification helps organisations formalise knowledge into a structured and recognised approach to meet the expectations. The material that has been CPD certified will more likely become accepted and welcomed by the industry.
Having Clarke Energy CPD certified demonstrates the intent in keeping skills and knowledge up to date. The courses that have been certified have been reviewed for integrity and quality to ensure that both academic and practical qualifications do not become out-dated or obsolete; allowing individuals to continually increase their ability.
The internal courses that have been CPD certified are:
FTB – Field technician basic
This training gives an excellent overview of the GE’s Jenbacher gas engine technology with an insight into the structure of a Jenbacher gas engine module and terminology for the individual components. It also includes the knowledge required to operate the different DIA.NE controllers at level 15/20, giving guidance on regular maintenance according to the 10,000 operating hours maintenance schedule and the ability to adjust and optimise the relevant control loops and gas trains.
FTA – Field technician advanced
This training gives the advanced knowledge required to operate the different DIA.NE generations at level 15 , the ability to adjust and optimise the relevant control loops at an advanced level. It also gives the ability to adjust and optimise different gas trains and the ability to localise and remedy malfunctions of the Jenbacher engine.
MR- Maintenance and repair
This training gives the ability to carry out necessary maintenance tasks including minor overhauls (20/30k) according to GE’s Jenbacher maintenance schedule.
The external customer courses that have been CPD certified are:
OPT- operator training
This customer training gives an excellent overview of the Jenbacher gas engine technology, the ability to understand operating documents and their structure with an insight into the structure of a Jenbacher gas engine module and terminology for the individual components. It learns you the necessary knowledge to successfully operate Jenbacher gas engine equipment in manual and automatic modes and the ability to identify and remedy the most common malfunctions and errors. It also gives you the necessary knowledge to carry out maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule for operators
TJE – extended level access training
This customer training gives the ability to work with DIA.NE controller at level 15, the ability to identify malfunctions with our checklist for trouble-shooting and to rectify these. It will expand your knowledge on how to adjust and optimise control loops for LEANOX, speed and power output controller. It will teach you the functions of the electrical components at the engine and in the control cubicles and a detailed insight into our wiring diagrams and the relevant technical instructions.
