EAPIC 3-4 September 2014

EAPIC 2014The 16th East African Power Industry Convention (EAPIC) is scheduled for 3-4 September 2014 in Nairobi, Kenya. This event covers all aspects of the power industry in East Africa. Over 50 suppliers from all over the world will be represented at this event to assist visitors in taking the right energy related decisions by showing their expertise in the field.

Clarke Energy has grown its business in Africa the last couple of years and has proven to be a great partner in the area. Due to unstable power supplies from the grid, captive power plants and Independent Power Producers (IPP) are ideal answers to create the much needed liable power. Clarke Energy entered the East African market in 2012 establishing an office and service capability in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Jenbacher engines can be deployed everywhere as long as there is a form of gas including natural gas, and several renewable gases such as biogas, landfill gas and sewage gas.

One of our ground-breaking projects in Kenya involved the supply of two containerised J420 engines at a farm near Lake Naivasha. These were the first two biogas engines Clarke Energy had installed in the Sub Saharan region. The biogas is derived from the agricultural waste from the farm. Working in a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) configuration, the electricity is used on the farm and the local area, whereas the heat is used to heat the greenhouses on the farm.

Come and visit Clarke Energy at the EAPIC event in booth 320 to discuss how we can assist you in creating reliable power.
