In addition to the electrical and thermal outputs of the engine, absorption chillers have been installed to satisfy some of the sites chilling demands – making this a trigeneration application.g 1.8MWe, as supplied by Clarke Energy.

Vital Energi selected the GE Jenbacher engine due its high efficiency design and exceptional reliability, which has resulted in the scheme exceeding Key Performance Indicator targets including savings to the Natural History Museum in excess of £500,000 per annum and annual CO2 emission reductions of 1,800 tonnes.
Clarke Energy is contracted to provide a long term operation and maintenance contract on this engine.
