Clarke Energy Welcomes Readers of African Review Magazine
In recognition of the huge potential for power generation projects on the African continent, Clarke Energy’s operations are expanding.
Clarke Energy has a long history of working in West Africa from its base in Apapa, Lagos. This is now complimented by a growing presence in North Africa with dedicated teams being added in Tunisia, 2008 and in Algeria, 2011.
We envisage exciting projects for a range of applications including supporting industrial facilities requiring stable supplies of power from natural gas. Clarke Energy has installed over 73Â generators for this purpose alone in Nigeria.
Africa also has significant potential for the utilisation of associated petroleum gas (APG), with the first scheme being developed in Waha, Tunisia.
Algeria and Nigeria, with their petroleum industries also have immense potential for the utilisation of gas engines for power from flare gas.
Investing in Local Capabilities
Clarke Energy follows a policy of localisation and recognises the importance of the development of a strong local workforce. In each country where we operate Clarke Energy develops operations which are manned by nationals of that country, committing to the training and development of these staff going forwards. Where needed the operations are also supported for engineering and project management by the wider Clarke Energy operations.
