UK AD & World Biogas Expo 2019

Clarke Energy will be exhibiting at the UK AD & World Biogas Expo 2019 held by the Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA). The event takes place on 3rd – 4th July at the NEC in Birmingham and is the largest international trade show dedicated to AD (anaerobic digestion) and biogas.

UK AD and World Biogas Expo 2019 offers a unique combination of industry insight, innovation and investment opportunities for both the UK and international markets. The event is unique in covering all sectors and regions where AD offers solutions – from UK farming to world mega cities, from local waste and water management to global energy generation and transport. The expo is run alongside the World Biogas Summit 2019.

Clarke Energy recently installed 3 x Jenbacher 420 gas engines at Redstow Renewables, a biogas plant built and run by Future Biogas. Power generated from anaerobic digestion (AD) of locally grown crops at the plant is used to provide over 95% of the electricity for nearby RAF Marham, making it the UK’s first military base to run almost completely on renewable energy.

Clarke Energy recently supplied and installed their first biogas upgrading plant at a waste water treatment plant in Perpignan, France. The biogas cleaning technology at the plant consists in treating the biogas in order to obtain biomethane, similar to natural gas. The first biomethane cubic meters are injected into the gas network and the unit can thus provide the equivalent of the annual consumption of 1,200 homes.

Alex Marshall, Group Marketing and Compliance Director for Clarke Energy will be on the discussion panel for “ Attracting Institutional Investors to Biogas” Day 1 (3rd July) 13:15-14:00
