Dhaka Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition 2018

DTG Exhibition

Clarke Energy will be exhibiting at the 15th Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition 2018 (DTG) from the 8th to 11th February 2018 in Bangladesh. The event is hosted by Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Services Co Limited and is held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).

After China, Bangladesh is now the second biggest exporter in the world of garments since the country greatly benefited from the rapid development of the export-oriented textile industry. Clarke Energy began operations in Bangladesh in 2013 and there is an installed fleet of over 1 gigawatt of Jenbacher gas engines in the country, primarily used as captive power plants for industry and for independent power producers.

With the Government in Bangladesh committing to ensuring access to affordable and reliable electricity for all by 2021, the efficient use the current natural gas resources is becoming  increasingly more important. With many older engine installations only having the capability to produce electricity more recent versions of gas engines may be able to provide significant improvements in electrical efficiency, meaning you are able to generate more electricity from a given set gas allowance by upgrading. In addition the the use of combined heat and power plants (CHP) can help the customer achieve higher overall fuel efficiency by simultaneously utilising the waste heat and therefore potentially substituting other fuel sources and reducing energy cost for their production unit.
