Clarke Energy was awarded Exporter of the Year (Large) Award at this year’s North West Business Masters Awards for a second year running. The annual event organised by the Business Desk saw the elite of North West England’s business community competing for a series of desiderate local awards.
The black tie awards evening was held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester, the same hotel that saw the first meeting of Mr Rolls and Mr Royce in 1904 creating the iconic car company.
The event was co-hosted by BBC Football Focus and Five Live presenter Dan Walker and the audience was treated to a humorous presentation by former England striker and manager Kevin Keegan.
The exporter award which Clarke Energy bagged was sponsored by UKTI for the second year running. Receiving the accolade from UKTI’s Clive Drinkwater, the Knowsley, Merseyside company’s group marketing and compliance manager Alexander Marshall said: “One of the biggest projects we’ve worked on is the largest grid connected biogas plant in Africa, which is really exciting. We’ve also secured another two big project for the upgrade of the Northern Territories power generation infrastructure in Australia.
“For the obscure countries, UKTI’s support was fantastic and I would definitely recommend them to other North West businesses.”
