  • Client: Renewable Power Systems
  • Generator: JGC 316 GS-LL
  • Capacity: 834 kWe
  • Location: Aughnacloy, County Tyrone

In 2010 Renewable Power System based in Bedford, UK established a gas utilisation facility at the site which uses a GE Jenbacher JMC316GS-LL containerised gas engine to combust landfill gas collected from the site converting the energy of the gas into electricity which is fed into the local electricity grid.

In addition to supplying the containerised engine which includes all scheduled and unscheduled, including 24 hour call out, together with the parts, consumables and lubricants required for the operation of the engine.

There were special considerations on this site in relation to the acoustic attenuation of the sound emissions from the installed equipment this necessitated an engineered reconfiguration of the engine container to meet the requirements together with the installation of an acoustic boundary fence at the gas utilisation compound.
