Fuel Gas Boosters

Fuel gas boosters or blowers are used to raise the pressure of fuel gas to the operating level of the gas engine or combined heat and power plant. Gas boosters are often required for biological gas applications where the pressure level of the biogas holder is below 30mbar.

Gas Booster Benefits

  • Facilitates correct engine operation
  • Helps stabilise gas pressure

Typically for most Jenbacher engine variants this is between 80-200 mbar, however speak to your local Clarke Energy sales office to find out about your specific generator’s requirements. Depending upon the blower and the location of the site, it is often recommended that acoustic attenuation is provided. Boosters can either be sited internally within buildings or externally along with a weather-proof acoustic enclosure.

Supply

Clarke Energy is able to supply gas boosters either free issue, or as part of an overall turn-key package within the combined heat and power unit scope of supply.

High-Efficiency Cogeneration in Botoșani, Romania

Clarke Energy has expanded the high-efficiency cogeneration capacity of the Municipality of Botoșani’s district heating network with a new INNIO Jenbacher JMS 624 gas engine. The installation integrates with two units supplied in 2012, improving efficiency, reducing primary energy consumption, and supporting lower emissions across SACET Botoșani.
