Carbon Filters

A carbon filter is an in-line container filled with activated carbon granules. Carbon filters are used for the removal of contaminants for the fuel gas to gas engines.

Activated carbon has a high propensity for the adsorption of fuel gas contaminants. Carbon filters are often a necessity for tricky gases such as landfill gas, which often contain large amounts of contaminants. The carbon needs to be replaced periodically depending upon the level of contamination in the fuel gas.

Clarke Energy is able to supply carbon filers as part of the deliver of a full gas engine combined heat and power plant.
