Clarke Energy is seeking Leading Hand Field Services to join our growing team, supporting gas engine installations and maintenance across Australia. Leading Hands are responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day activities of field technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

This role provides leadership, technical guidance, and workflow coordination to enable the team to meet operational, safety, and customer service standards. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the Leading Hand acts as the key link between field operations and management, ensuring work is executed to specification, issues are proactively resolved, and continuous improvement opportunities are identified in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and coordinate a team of service technicians to ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
  • Liaise with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to support smooth planning, scheduling, and completion of service activities.
  • Support training and development for technicians, ensuring all certifications remain current and skill levels meet operational needs.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities including timesheets, leave coordination, service reports, and timely close out of internal work items.
  • Champion Clarke Energy’s commitment to safety, quality, environmental responsibilities, and continuous improvement across all field service operations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with large reciprocating engines
  • Trade qualification in mechanical disciplines.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Safety-focused, reliable, and customer-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel and work independently across field sites.
  • Previous experience leading small teams preferrable.
