Clarke Energy has received the Innovation in Energy Technology award from the Corporate LiveWire Innovation & Excellence Awards 2018. The judges were particularly impressed with the comprehensive customer care that Clarke Energy showcase, serving as a single point of contact and expertise from initial sale, engineering, project management and installation through to commissioning and long-term maintenance. The company have also shown innovative aptitude towards the field of combined heat and power (CHP), utilising our experience to exercise finer control over the development and maintenance of new technologies, whilst also maintaining a portfolio of applications for both low-carbon power and renewable energy generation.

Clarke Energy have recognised the inherent problems imposed by suggesting radical reform to energy technology. Therefore, we have adopted a more intuitive methodology which allows for the seamless integration and application of older technologies in new ways, ensuring that the company aren’t just at the forefront of technological development but also in the way these developments are implemented.

Clarke Energy are an independent multinational specialising in the engineering, installation and maintenance of engine-based power plants. The Liverpool-based company operate in gas and diesel-fuelled technologies, ranging from the supply of gas fuelled power generation engines through to the turnkey installation of multi-engine power plants.

The company can either supply an individual generator, or deliver an EPC turn-key multi-engine power plant backed up by long-term service support. Clarke Energy is a specialist in high efficiency utilisation of fuels and is an innovator in the field of combined heat and power (CHP) or cogeneration technology, having now supplied over 250MW of peaking plants to the Capacity Market sector stations and their CHP plant installations exceed 460MW in the UK.

Clarke Energy was acquired by the Kohler Company of Wisconsin in February 2017 and is the largest authorised distributor and service provider for General Electric’s reciprocating energy business. Having recently opened offices in China and Tunisia, Clarke Energy now has multinational operations in 25 countries (including Algeria, Australia, France, India, New Zealand and the United States) and is a key business in the ‘Northern Powerhouse’ – a Innovation in Energy Technology concept designed to boost economic growth in the North of England.
