Clarke Energy sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation for encouraging implementation of gas-based projects in India.
Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL), a group company of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC) and Clarke Energy’s offices in India signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation for encouraging implementation of gas based cogeneration and trigeneration projects in commercial and industrial segments within GGL’s authorised geographical areas.
Shri. Nitin Patil, CEO Gujarat Gas Limited and Shri Punit Garg, Managing Director Clarke Energy India Private Limited signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of their respective organisations on 17th September 2019 at GGL’s offices in Ahmedabad, State of Gujarat.
The major thrust of the MoU is to promote mutually beneficial cooperation to convince industrial and commercial consumers in progressing towards decentralisation electricity generation using natural gas with advancement in reciprocating gas engine technology and increasing consumer awareness and involvement. The expanded use of natural gas for electricity generation in addition to heating applications by industries can help our country in its effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the near-to-mid- term, even as the economy grows.
