Clarke Energy Honors World Cogeneration Day 2026

Clarke Energy, a Rehlko company, is proud to support World Cogeneration Day 2026.

The global event consists of a massive distributed celebration of the benefits of cogeneration and highlights the projects and people who make it happen.

We’re recognising the important role combined heat and power (CHP) plays in delivering resilient, efficient and sustainable energy solutions globally.

With rising demand for reliable, low carbon power, especially in energy intensive sectors like data centres, cogeneration continues to cut emissions, improve efficiency and strengthen energy security.

At Clarke Energy, we’re committed to delivering innovative cogeneration projects across industries and applications.

Recent examples of global cogeneration projects include:

  • Strengthening energy resilience at Capraci, Côte d’Ivoire, a 4MW natural gas-fuelled trigeneration power plant. Capraci is one of Côte d’Ivoire’s leading pasta manufacturers.
  • Reducing primary fuel consumption by up to 30% at Elsaco Electronic, Romania. This marks a significant advancement in energy efficiency for the district energy networks in the cities of Arad and Constanța, Romania.
  • Expanding operational capability at Nestlé’s Flowergate Factory, Nigeria. Building on an existing installation of two Jenbacher J320 containerised gas engines, the expansion has increased on-site generation capacity to support the factory’s growing energy requirements.
  • Decreasing energy costs and carbon footprint at Nutrifish Tunisia. 1,067 kW is self-generated by the installation, reducing reliance on the public grid and optimising energy costs.
  • Boosting energy efficiency by over 30% at Eramet, Norway. The site recovers furnace gas to generate both electricity and heat and captures around 250 GWh per year.
  • Converting biogas into reliable, renewable energy at Howrah Sewage Treatment Plant, India. The facility utilizes biogas generated from the sewage treatment process to produce electricity efficiently on-site with a Jenbacher 316 engine.

We’re proud to support World Cogeneration Day and the success it has become over 6 years. Cogeneration remains central to our mission to provide cleaner, reliable and sustainable energy for customers and communities worldwide.
