Encouraging a Happy and Healthy Lifestyle

On Your Feet Clarke Energy was a way to encourage people to become more active. A short burst of 10 minutes brisk walking increases mental alertness, energy and positive mood. Clarke Energy wanted to encourage as many employees to get up and go for a walk around the local area each day, for a month.

More than 5 million people don’t know that they have high blood pressure. People with high blood pressure are three times more likely to develop heart disease and suffer from a stroke.. Clarke Energy take the opportunity on a monthly basis to invite employees for their blood pressure to be taken by our in-house trained employees.

Clarke Energy India hosted a Health Camp yesterday at our Pune office, offering full body checkups, including eye and dental screenings for all employees. Initiatives like this reflect our ongoing commitment to prioritising our people, creating a healthy and supportive workplace.

Clarke Energy UK have a number of Mental Health First Aiders in the business who can offer support and guidance to employees in distress. The first aiders are present to help guide the person to the relevant help that they need. They also have the relevant knowledge to be able to spot someone who is developing a mental health issue. Its okay not too be okay.

Colleagues across Clarke Energy came together to support Wear It Pink Day for Breast Cancer Now, bringing fundraising, fitness and teamwork together in a great show of community spirit. From step challenges and relay races to cake sales and volunteering, teams raised awareness, stayed active and had fun—highlighting our ongoing commitment to a happy, healthy working life.

To mark International Men’s Health week, a workplace wellness NHS van attended Head Office to conduct mini health checks which included blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI, mental health services along with wellbeing and lifestyle advice.

Beginning in 2022, at least twice a year at Clarke Energy UK we invite all our employees to participate in a Company walk. They are a brilliant opportunity for employees to talk to people from around the business and in different regions to take a break from their day-to-day role and have a day to focus on their health and wellbeing.

We held a Health and Wellbeing event for our employees where we invited local businesses and charities to attend and promote their services. We found the day to be very beneficial for our employees to learn more about healthy choices and support them in making better decisions for a healthier lifestyle. We also had a smoothie bike which was great fun!

Time to Talk is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation happening every year for people to come together to talk and listen to each other. Talking about mental health isn’t always easy, but a conversation has the power to change lives. To mark this day Clarke Energy has provided breakfast for our employees and gathered people together to start that conversation. Let’s all make space in our day to listen to one another and to normalise talking about mental health.

Clarke Energy Romania’s football team takes part in a friendly annual tournament held between teams in the Balkans. With many of our staff in Romania and their families cheering the team on, they were successful in winning the tournament and lifting the trophy. Congratulations to the champions and to all our employees in Romania for offering their support.
