Clarke Energy Tunisie is proud to announce the commissioning of a cogeneration installation featuring an INNIO Jenbacher J320 gas engine. The system was supplied, installed and is maintained by our Tunisian teams for our client Nutrifish Tunisia, a Tunisian company specialising in the production of high-quality feed for aquaculture.
System characteristics
• Electrical output: 1,067 kW self-generated by the installation, reducing reliance on the public grid and optimising energy costs.
• Thermal output: 763 kW recovered as hot water and utilised via air-to-water heat exchangers to heat the air supplying the industrial process.
• Steam production: 670 kg/h of steam, used to further heat the air downstream of the heat exchangers and to ensure feed drying in the internal dryer, guaranteeing compliance with quality requirements.
• Operation: Parallel operation with the grid, with island mode capability to ensure continuity of power supply to the site.
This cogeneration system represents a major milestone for local industry. Nutrifish Tunisia becomes the first player in the sector to integrate such a high-performance and sustainable energy solution, optimising both operating costs and energy efficiency.
