Clarke Energy Recognised with Award from AMPS for Outstanding Apprenticeship Programme

We’re delighted to share that Clarke Energy has won the AMPS – Association of Manufacturers of Power Systems – Apprenticeship Programme of the Year Award! 🎉

This achievement reflects 25 years of dedication to developing the next generation of engineers, leaders and technical specialists. Our apprenticeship programme has grown and evolved thanks to the commitment of our Product Support and Technical Training teams, many of whom were once apprentices themselves.

The AMPS judges panel described our Apprenticeship Scheme as an outstanding programme demonstrating excellence across all criteria, with clear structure and a genuine focus on long-term skills development.

From our purpose-built training workshop in Liverpool, equipped with full Jenbacher Type 3, 4 and 6 engines and a containerised 320 running simulator, through to remote monitoring, commissioning and field mentoring — every element of the programme is designed to support real-world learning, long-term progression and high-quality technical development.

We’re incredibly proud of the more than 80 apprentices who have completed the programme, many of whom now hold senior roles across the business and even lead the teams that once trained them.

A huge thank you to every apprentice, mentor, trainer and engineer who contributes to making this programme exceptional. This award is a recognition of all your hard work and commitment.
