African Energy Forum 2019

Clarke Energy will be exhibiting alongside sister company Kohler SDMO at the African Energy Forum (AEF) 2019, taking place in Lisbon from 11th to 14th June. The AEF is the global investment meeting for Africa’s power, energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Clarke Energy has been operating in the African continent since 2002 when it supplied it’s first gas-fuelled captive power plant in Nigeria. Clarke Energy have since sold and installed over 650MW of power generation on the continent.

Clarke Energy has recently assembled the first diesel generating sets at our new assembly plant in Lagos and supplied our first hybrid solution using gas engines and storage at OK Plast plastic bottling facility, demonstrating engineering capabilities to deliver microgrid projects. We also have experience in the production of power from a wide range of gases including natural gas-fuelled captive power plants in Nigeria, the largest grid connected biogas CHP facility in sub-Saharan Africa near Lake Naivasha in Kenya, flare gas facilities in Tunisia and Nigeria, and furnace gas facilities in South Africa.

Proceeding the AEF on 12th June will be the ‘The Africa Challenge Cup’ a charity football tournament in partnership with Clarke Energy, Manchester United, Kohler Power and Kohler-SDMO taking place at the Os Belenenses, Estádio do Restelo football stadium. The money raised will be donated to victims of Cyclone Idai, one of the worst storms on record to ever hit the African continent.
