The biogas power plant of Bioaerio Pellas S.A was installed in 2015. In the plant, there is one GE Jenbacher JMS 320 GS-BL v.C25 CHP unit producing electric power of 0.95 MW. The cogeneration unit is fueled with biogas produced from anaerobic digestion process. The produced thermal energy is used for the heating of the digesters, while the electric power is being sold to the Public Power Corporation.
