Mossley Hill RUFC Present Clarke Energy with Replica Shirt

As a thank you for the new kits provided by Clarke Energy to Mossley Hill RUFC earlier this year club chairman, Keith Smith, presented the company with a framed jersey showing off the new livery; a welcome early Christmas present. Adam Wray-Summerson, working for Clarke Energy’s Sales Team, is a player for the club.

Commenting on the sponsorship agreement, Keith Smith said, “The club’s success through the years has been down to its members, supporters and of course sponsors. Without the help of thoughtful donations such as that made by Clarke Energy we would not be able to function as an organisation so it is fantastic to receive such a generous contribution. We have been performing brilliantly this season, with all three senior sides competing strongly in their respective leagues – I’m sure the shirts must be helping!”

With respect to the club’s performance at the half way point in the season there have only been two losses across all teams. The dominating performances so far sit the 1st team in second place in North Lancashire Division 2, only three points behind first placed Manchester Medics, and keen for promotion. Undefeated in the University of Salford Division 5 West league, the 2nd team lie top of the table, and 10 points clear of their nearest rival. The 3rd team are also experiencing success in their first season in a senior league and are currently top of the Merseyside Merit League, having only suffered one defeat this season.

Alan Fletcher, Main Board Director of Clarke Energy, said: “As a global company, we are proud to support sport in the community and encourage our employees to be involved in their local communities at all levels. We are proud to be sponsoring Mossley Hill RUFC, who look great in the new shirts, and look forward to hearing how they get on after the Christmas break – good luck lads and let’s keep promotion in sight.”
