The team at Clarke Energy were delighted to receive ‘The Chairman’s Award’ at the recent Liverpool Chamber Awards held at Anfield stadium.
After missing out in the ‘Health and Wellbeing’ category we were then surprised and proud to receive the award, which was selected by the Liverpool Chamber chairman Neil Ashbridge. ‘The Chairman’s Award’ recognises a company for making a significant contribution to the local economy whilst demonstrating commitment to both their staff and the community.
Liverpool Chamber Chairman, Neil Ashbridge commented on the night:
« Clarke Energy are a multinational specialist in distributed power generation solutions, with its international headquarters located in Knowsley, Clarke Energy is an exemplar across so many areas of business excellence but we only have time for a few examples.
International Trade – where they continue to expand their operations overseas with the recent acquisition of TEB Energy Business S.A. of Romania and its subsidiary Genelco Power Systems Ltd of Greece, creating jobs, growing the business and developing expertise. As a Northern Powerhouse Export Champion – and winners of the Northern Powerhouse Exporter of the Year in 2019 – they provide encouragement and support for those businesses looking to explore global opportunities.
An environmentally sustainable business – they are recognised both at home and overseas as a leader in the field. This includes a commitment to technological innovation for example, with projects delivering clean and reliable power across the world.
Supporting local communities overseas – including those communities whose lives have been devastated by natural disasters, for example, the victims of Cyclone Idai, one of the worst storms on record to ever hit the African continent.
Finally, as their nomination for this year’s Health and Wellbeing Award demonstrated, they put their people at the heart of their business!
The Chamber is proud to have Clarke Energy as a Strategic Partner and we look forward to working with them in 2020 to support both their ambitious programmes as well as ensuring that they are fully recognised for the wider contribution they make to the city region.”
Clarke Energy places great value in our staff and commitment to working with the local communities where we operate, so it was pleasing to be recognised for this by Liverpool Chamber.
