The Kohler Power Systems power generation products have been supported by Kohler’s Singapore office over a number of years for Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific islands.
With the acquisition of Clarke Energy by Kohler in 2017, the Adelaide based office has taken the responsibility and opportunity to further grow the business and provide local support through its existing skilled staff and are now distributing Kohler’s range of diesel generating sets in the South Pacific.
Clarke Energy recently hosted a group of Western Australian power industry experts for a product update on the banks of the Swan river in Perth.
The event provided a great opportunity to:
– Share the details of the transfer of responsibilities
– Highlight the growth opportunities within markets historically serviced by Clarke Energy
– Share details of our support capabilities for channel partners offering Kohler into the region
– And update the full range of products and services available from Clarke Energy
During the function, guest’s were invited to a ‘hands on’ inspection of Kohler’s flagship generating sets including a containerised ‘KD 2500’ model which is capable of delivering back up power for over 2,000 homes during a grid black out.
Also on display at the event, was a Kohler ‘KR 110’ package which has been configured for the Australian rental market by Kohler and Clarke Energy.
Jean-Charles Ascoet , from Kohler’s factory in Brest, France travelled to Perth to present the latest technology featured within the company’s range of compact diesel fuelled generating sets which can provide up to 2,800kW of power per unit.
As the evening sun set over the Perth city skyline, guests at the function were treated to an inspiring story of perseverance and determination by former Western Australian Cricket legend, Kim Hughes. Several attendees also took up the offer of a photograph wearing Kim’s iconic ‘Baggy green’ hat, which has been a signature adornment of Australian test cricketers for more than a century.
