Στα αγγλικά: Accolades for Clarke Energy on Ground-Breaking Beyondie Sulphate of Potash Mine Project

Clarke Energy has successfully completed a key milestone for Kalium Lakes Limited’s Beyondie Sulphate of Potash (SOP) mine in Western Australia and received high praise from the project’s Construction Manager, Paul Ross.

“On behalf of Kalium Lakes I want to express my gratitude for the outstanding job you and your team have achieved over the last 3 days. All heavy lifts have been conducted without incident and unwanted events. Your crew have delivered a quality service with a high standard of OHSE and fabulous attitude. Let us hope the next stage is just as smooth sailing as the last.”

De-risking a One-of-a-Kind Project

Clarke Energy has been contracted to deliver clean and reliable power for the project – the first of its kind in Australia – and making Kalium Lakes one of only a handful of primary SOP producers globally.

Kalium Lakes’ CEO Rudolph van Niekerk commented,
“Every key milestone achieved de-risks the Project for completion on budget and on schedule.”

Clarke Energy’s $10 million contract includes the design, supply, install and commissioning of a 7.5MW power plant comprising of three high efficiency natural gas fuelled 2.5MW INNIO Jenbacher 616 gas engines and a Kohler KV440 diesel black start generator.

In addition to the power station construction works, Kalium Lakes have engaged Clarke Energy to supply five KOHLER generator sets ranging from 165kVA to 715kVA to deliver power for the village and pumping stations.

Powering on with Safety and Performance

Work completed at the Beyondie site by Clarke Energy’s construction team:

  • Setting up and marking out slabs
  • Erect switch room and placement of generator sets on slabs
  • Unload and position acoustic enclosures over generator sets
  • Unload and position transformers
  • Bolt down switch room, unload exhaust stacks and radiators
  • Prepare and fit radiators, access stairs and handrail
  • Equipment used: 200T crane and telehandler
  • Safety stats: 8 work permits issued, 7 pre-start meetings, 60 blood alcohol tests, nil incidents to report.

Clarke Energy – Always Going the Extra Mile

Always a trustworthy partner that is reliable, accountable and keeps safety and performance top of mind,

Clarke Energy has received prior commendations on the project when last October, Rudolph van Niekerk commented:

“Not only has Clarke Energy worked with us to find a technically viable solution for our project, it has gone the extra mile to also achieve the WHS Accreditation which is a requirement for this contract under Kalium Lakes’ funding from the Northern Australia Infrastructure.”
