Australian Mining Industry Remains Buoyant at Diggers & Dealers Conference 2019

‘The Clarke Energy Cocktail Party’

Clarke Energy’s team in Australia returned to the office this week after three informative and productive days at this year’s Diggers & Dealers mining conference in Kalgoorlie. Day one of the conference concluded with a cocktail party to welcome over two thousand guests and delegates. The evening, which was sponsored by Clarke Energy was the quintessential icebreaker to kick off the networking activities which continued during the following two days.

Delegates visiting the Clarke Energy exhibition booth were interested to hear about the 45MWe power station constructed by Clarke Energy which has been in operation since first gold was poured from the Gruyere gold mine in early 2019. This project helped to grow the installed capacity of Jenbacher and Kohler power generators to over 250 MW within remote regions of central and western Australia.

Clarke Energy team (somewhat reluctantly) hand over the booth draw prize to the lucky winner.

On day three of the event, Rhys Sherbone of Hexagon Mining and winner of the Clarke Energy booth prize draw was presented with one of South Australia’s finest bottled shiraz varieties.

Having attended the conference for the seventh consecutive year it was observed that the Australian mining industry remains buoyant. Ongoing growth is underpinned by a strong pipeline of new projects that are expected to meet their investment decision criteria within the next 24 months.
