The Gas Africa Conference 26-27 August

The Gas Africa ConferenceThe Gas Africa Conference will be happening 26 – 27 August. The Department of Energy of South Africa has updated the National Integrated Resource Plan for the generation of electricity. This has shown that gas still plays a very important role within the creation of power in Africa. With the ongoing discussion on the use of shale gas, this conference comes at the right time. The main suppliers within the sector will be at the event, to discuss the possibilities of gas to power.

In Africa, power from the grid is unreliable, hence the interest in alternative ways of power generation. Independent power producers as well as captive power plants, could be the ideal way to counter the on-going electricity issues.
