Clarke Energy has won the Service Excellence Award at the African Energy and Infrastructure Awards Night. The African Energy and Infrastructure Awards have been organised by African Leadership Magazine.
Clarke Energy supplied its first gas engine into Nigeria in 2002 and now has established offices in Ikeja, Lagos and Port Harcourt.
Clarke Energy has now sold and installed over 220MW of gas-fuelled power plants in Nigeria. These facilities include captive power plants for industry and independent power producers (IPPs) such as the Guinness Ogba Trigeneration Facility and Honeywell Flour Mills captive power plant. Clarke Energy recently announced a deal that will see it providing a combined heat and power plant for IMI’s new medical equipment factory in Port Harcourt.
The company operates a policy of localisation recruiting local sales and service engineers to support the company’s operations. These teams are trained at Jenbach in Austria and at Clarke Energy’s dedicated GE Jenbacher training facility in the UK.
