Clarke Energy’s growth across all areas of the business has led to the expansion of the workshop and warehouse facilities at the company’s headquarters in Knowsley. The purchase of an adjacent warehouse in 2009 created the ideal environment to move the parts storage to this dedicated facility. The capacity further expands Clarke Energy’s stockholding to support the ever increasing installed engine base across the UK and Ireland, representing the largest storage of GE Jenbacher parts outside of Austria.
Moving the parts stock holding to another building created the room to expand the workshop facilities incorporating numerous new features such as:
- 25 tonne overhead crane
- Engine spray booth
- Shot blaster machine
- Surface grinding machine
- Valve seat re-facing machine
Upon officially opening the new parts warehouse and workshop Clarke Energy Service Director Steve Strange said, “This is a clear indication of our investment not only in the company but in our customers’ long term success. Our ability to provide a wider range of parts with a short lead time will see benefits across the GE Jenbacher engine range. Here in our workshop we have always offered major engine overhauls, and now our capacity has increased and our turnaround time will start to decrease.
Our investment will continue and we are already looking at a 6 series turnover rig to complement our existing 2, 3 and 4 series rigs. We have always offered a first class service to our customers and I believe this a strong statement of our ongoing commitment to improve that service.”
